Perhaps you’ve seen parents around town toting their tots in what seems like a very large scarf synching the two together. One of the first thoughts to cross your mind might be, “What is that contraption?” or “How does that work?”. Once you’ve answered those two fundamentals, you are sure to move your thought process to, “Where do I get one?”

Dive in to the what, how, who and where of Moby Wraps!

What: The Moby wrap is a large cotton piece of fabric, ergonomically designed to wrap your bundle of joy close to your body for ease of transport, while providing benefits of bonding.  It can hold babies up to 35 pounds. The wrap helps to cradle baby safe and secure next to your chest, which calms and makes them feel right at home. It allows you a hands-free, comfortable, one size fits all solution for carrying your baby.

How: There are two main options for safely tying the wrap. Folded or gathered. Don’t forget to go through safety checks once baby is in the wrap.

Folded

1. Fold the Moby wrap in half lengthwise.  Place tag at center of navel and wrap across your waist.

2. Cross two ends behind your back bringing one tail over your shoulder.

3. Bring the other end over your other shoulder making an “X” on your back while maintaining flat fabric look.

4. Tuck the tails under the tag section of the fabric that is folded across your mid-section.

5. Cross the two tails in front under the folded section to make an X on your chest.

6. Bring both tails behind back and tie a knot.

7. Bring both tails back to front for one more double knot.

Gathered

1. Find the tag and place at center of navel and gather both ends.

2. Cross two ends behind your back bringing one tail over your shoulder.

3. Bring the other end over your other shoulder making an “X” on your back.

chest.
