Five Fun and Free Fall Activities!

Summer is ending and one of the most popular seasons is about to begin! Fall is a time for gathering, harvesting, and family fun. We have ideas for five fun and free activities that are perfect for the fall season!

1.Go for a scavenger hunt hike: Find a local trail and print this handy list from You and your whole family will love exploring nature and discovering the treasures of the season.

2. Make Leaf Art: Go to Pinterest and type in leaf art. There are literally thousands of awesome ideas for free leaf art. You can create leaf crayon rubs, leaf animals, and leaf stencils! Post your art in our comments section below!

3. Hand Over the Camera: Give your kids the camera to get a new view on fall. Take them to a tree heavy trail and let them take pictures of what they find to be interesting. Print off the warmest color images and make a collage to keep you happy during the colorless winter months!

4.Take a Flashlight Walk: With the sun setting a little earlier and the cold air swooping in, bundle up and grab some flashlights. Go on a walk in your neighborhood and see if you can spot nocturnal animals! Be safe and wear reflective clothing. Use your Melissa & Doug flashlight for extra fun!
